It's been a very long time since I updated. Sorry for that to anyone that's been keeping up with my progress.
I had to skip three doses in March due to being sick. Didn't want to take any chances!
So, to date, I have taken 36 doses of Enbrel. I have been on it for approximately 5 months.
About a month ago, I saw my dermatologist, and he was quite pleased with my progress so far. Where I had estimated a 5-10% improvement, he said it was more like 40-50%. So, yay.
Now, it is actually clearing in places. I no longer have any on my stomach/torso, and the large spots on my arms/elbows are starting to recede considerably. My legs still look as covered as before, but it is flatter and seems to be starting to recede. I think it is clearing in the reverse order that I got it. Example, my arms were one of the last places I got psoriasis, so they are clearing first.
My legs and scalp were the first places I got it, so they will clear last, if it keeps going like it is.
I'm overall pleased with the progress. We will keep going until June, then I'll be reassessed by my dermatologist. I'm sure I will continue on the Enbrel because it is the only thing that has helped me AT ALL. And I've had no adverse effects to report, so I guess it's been safe for me thus far.
